Small Intimate Weddings
So, why are we different?
Most people are now avoiding the large impersonal weddings of 200+ people. And a wedding shouldn’t be a numbers game of how many people you know!
Having everyone and everything in one place that was fully private for our party really took the stress out of our wedding day

So for a variety of reasons, more and more couples are choosing smaller, more intimate wedding venues and having their family and friends stay longer. Why does this work?
- You get to celebrate one of the biggest days of your life surrounded by the people that matter most to you.
- You feel more relaxed on your wedding day. Your wedding will feel more like a celebration with close-knit friends and family – rather than a production.
- How many weddings have you felt that the bride and groom are struggling to fulfil their social obligation and don’t seem to really enjoy themselves? By celebrating over two or even three days, you get to spend quality time with your guests.
- By arriving the day before your wedding, you have time to personalise the House, have time to properly greet your guests, are able to have a rehearsal dinner the night before as an ice-breaker for the families – and be in the House and relaxed the following morning to start your preparations like hair, makeup, etc.
- A Wedding House Party has a different vibe!
- The ‘Recovery Day’ party is often the highlight of any wedding. We find the Bride & Groom in particular get to enjoy this day once the formalities of the Wedding Day are over.
- Were there some relatives, colleagues or friends you weren’t able to invite for the Wedding Day? Then invite them to the Recovery Party instead.
- Pick a Location where there is plenty to do for your guests and they pay their own way for other activities – Kinsale is a heritage town has all sorts of attractions including wonderful walks, shopping, water based activities, golf etc and most importantly is easily accessible. You don’t have to worry about keeping your guests entertained during the daytime – just send them down to Kinsale – they’ll be delighted you did.
- Beyond sharing the most important day of your life, a smaller wedding allows you the freedom to focus on those areas of the wedding that are most important to you and might otherwise have been out of your reach or a budget breaker.
